How is information provided to students and families?

  1. Through course registration in November. All dual eligible classes are marked with a DE next to them.

  2. Counselors routinely talk to students about post-secondary plans and reference dual during ECAPS lessons and posted to Fact Sheets.

  3. Posts are added to the monthly school newsletter.

  4. Dual certified teachers discuss dual opportunities in their classroom at the beginning of the school year.

  5. Dual certified teachers routinely use Google Classroom or wall space to post information about dual enrollment

  6. Course specific dual letters are sent to every dual eligible student and parent within the first two weeks of the semester.

  7. When students complete registration for their Rio Salado classes we email to tell you if there are issues or what your next steps are.

  8. Dual Enrollment flyers are made available in the Counseling Office.

  9. Dual Enrollment links are listed on the Horizon and District websites.

  10. Rio Salado in on campus every Tuesday during the first month of each semester with a sign out front of their room. Rio Salado is also on campus during many school events.
