This term we are going to continue to learn how to write an amazing paragraph. (one idea expanded to include some detail.)

• A Topic Sentence

• Cool Topic Words

• Variety of Sentence types - simple, complex, long or short

• Variety of Sentence beginnings

• Punctuation - full stops and capital letters.

• A Concluding Sentence

The first half of the term:

Re-visit how to write an explanation.

Learn how to group the same ideas together in one paragraph.

Using correct punctuation - all the time.

The second half of the term:

Explore exciting vocabulary to make our stories more exciting.

Revisit using different sorts of sentence beginnings to make our writing more interesting to read.

Continue our emphasis on punctuation.

Using concluding sentences to round off our ideas.
