Learning at Home

After a long and tricky day at school, it is expected that children will relax, help with family chores and enjoy time playing.

As well as that, it is vital that children develop a love of reading and enjoy spending part of their day reading on their own or have someone read to them.

Maths is super easy to practice at home. Learn your timetables - 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 are great at year 3/4, and practice bonds to 10, 20 and 100. Help with the cooking and the shopping, to learn about measurement and money.

Have each family member share something from their day, and if you are online at home, check out the most recentblog posts and leave some comments.

Learning at home needs to fit into the family's routine and not be an ugly stressful event for the caregiver or child.
