About Us

Priya Subramanian grew up in India where she earned a Master degree in Organic Chemistry from Bombay University after which she worked in quality control in pharmaceuticals and later in printing inks. She came to the United States in 1996 and has been teaching since. She taught College Algebra, Organic Chemistry, and General Chemistry in Community Colleges prior to teaching in schools.  Finding her passion in teaching, she proceeded to get her Master Degree in Education from DePaul University (Chicago). She has been with Andrews Elementary since 2008 and is enjoying every bit of it. When not in school, Mrs. Priya loves to lounge, cook, watch old classics, spend time with her family, philosophize about life, and travel.

Keri Leynor is a Plano native and attended all Plano ISD schools from elementary through high school. After earning her undergrad in education from UNT, she went on to earn 2 higher education degrees in Gifted, Talented, and Creative Education and Educational Technology. While this is Keri's first year as an Andrews Eagle, this will be her 9th year teaching in Plano ISD. When she is not teaching, Keri is spending time with her family, reading, practicing yoga, or singing badly to Broadway musical soundtracks in the car. Keri is excited to be part of the Andrews community and your child's education journey.
