English 10

Sophomore year includes a major focus on writing (narrative, expository, and argumentative) and using proper MLA format. This course includes a study of Greek mythology, a dramatic selection, the Hero’s Journey, Herman Hesse's Siddhartha, Ayn Rand's Anthem, William Golding's The Lord of the Flies, and an ERWC module (to expose students to the format of English in the 12th grade at PHS).
