Boardmaker Studio is available to select Special Education Staff. Contact your AT Coordinator for more Information.

Purpose:

Used to create visual schedules, supports, and academic activities supported with pictures and text. Activities can be interactive on the computer or printed.

Student Requirements:

Students must be able to use the mouse to navigate around the computer. (Interactive content only)

Students must be taught the association between pictures and their meanings.

How it works:

Teacher Use - teachers start from templates and are able to design materials to be used by the students. Materials are then accessed electronically, or printed for off computer implementation.

Student Use - Interactive activities can be completed on the computer. Print based tasks may be completed as worksheets or folder games. Visual supports may be used to design schedules, label the environment, or establish expectations with visual support.
