This tenth grade course will concentrate on the history of the modern world, both non-Western and Western, from the mid 1800s through to the present day. Topics will include foreign policy, political systems, social and cultural change, and economic trends. 

Units of study include: 

• Nationalism and the Spread of Democracy

• Age of Imperialism

• World War I and the Russian Revolution

• The World Between Wars

• World War II

• The Cold War Era

• Developing Nations Emerge

• The World Today

*Students in the Honors level may choose to take AP European History in the place of World History II in their sophomore year.
