Homework Information

Language Arts

All students who receive English Language Arts in my classroom are required to read 20 minutes each day (a total of 60 minutes a week) and record their minutes and a short summary on their reading log. Parent initials are also required on the reading log. Please see Reading Log contract for more specifics.

Although I assign this most weeks during the school year, there are some weeks your child will not have an assigned Reading Log, but can read if he/she wishes!

Math

Math homework will be assigned as needed, but not daily. Students work hard for 75 minutes each day in math class and daily homework will not always be necessary. Independent review of skills will be embedded throughout the school day during morning work, math centers, and math trot.

If you would like your child to work on math at home, STMath and review of math facts are both helpful for your child.
