Small Group Counseling

As children grow and develop, they are faced with life experiences that often cause stress, anxiety, or a variety of emotions. Small group counseling is a way of focusing on various topics to help students develop or further develop an understanding of themselves and their situation. These groups can consist of three or more students. During the small group sessions, the students learn or develp the skills of cooperating, problemsolving, communicating their thoughts and feelings, and empathizing. These skills are taught while the group members are engaging in fun activities such as games, drawing, role-playing and group disscussions . Most importantly, small group counseling reinforces the idea that they are not alone. Below, is a list a list of group topics that have been facilitated in the past.
