1. Be Present and Engaged with Your Group: know what you are to do as a group, and pay attention (active listening) to what your group will be doing the whole time.
2. Delegate, Accept, and Try: Try to divide tasks, up evenly, if you are given a specific job take it seriously and be sincere with your attempts. Try your best, if you get off course or need help ask questions.
3. Be Proactive: ask questions, compliment other members efforts, be an active listener (remember our rubric for that!), and if there is a problem with communication, seek council from other peers or your teacher.
4. Be a Teacher and a Role Model: there will be times when other group members are not ready to perform at your level of thinking, or social interaction. Be their teacher, mentor, and role model by presenting qualities that you want to see in them. Offer them extra assistance if they need it, but keep them engaged by questions and tasks so they are still involved.
