Here is an example of a rough sketch. Notice that I have not put any sentences in, just an idea of what information I want there and where it will be placed.

I decided to use speech boxes because my title mentioned the word talk.
It is centred around the flag as the main point.
I will use a similar layout for my poster on Samoa in week 8.

This week is Sea Week, and we are using our creative writing to celebrate this.
Word Wall
As part of our planning, we created a word wall of topic words and WOW words.
Wednesday/Thursday
We started our draft writing. The shared draft writing has very little punctuation. Our next lesson will be on adding capital letters and basic punctuation.
We can give more information in our writing by adding adjectives. We also call them WOW words. Adjectives help to describe people, places and things. We want to add some to give more information. We don't want too many though, or our reader might get distracted and forget what the story is about.
