Children's Square U.S.A.
Aftercare Initiative for Young People ages 18-21 Who Have Aged Out of Foster Care | $2,500.00

Entering adulthood is a pivotal point in every young person's life. For children who are aging out of the foster care system, they are one situation away from not having a place to call home. They are at risk for dropping out of school, incarceration, addiction, and mental health issues, and are at significantly higher risk for human trafficking. Programs like Children's Square provide the guidance and support to help them with their education, employment, housing, life skills, and health, and can build lasting-relationships with adults who can be a lifelong support system.

"Children's Square is grateful to PCCF for recognizing these young adults have dreams and aspirations, and need caring connections who believe in them, challenge them to reach their potential, and encourage them to persevere," said Debbie Orduna, Children's Square President and CEO. "The young adults we are working with through Aftercare Services go on to be high school and college graduates, wonderful employees, caring neighbors, and an important part of our community. They know their past doesn't define their future when they build the vision, courage, and will to succeed."
