Concert Playing Tests
Individual (sometimes group) performance test on music done in band class.
Aligned with each concert.
Students must complete by deadline to receive full credit.
Students may complete by second deadline to either receive partial credit, or to increase their initial score.
In House Solo/Ensemble
Performance and evaluation at our in house solo/ensemble contest.
Part Assessment Tests
Individual performance test done on teacher or student selected material.
Semester Final
Semester playing exams will vary per band/grade level and be defined by the instructor.
Pep Band
Requirements:
Attend 8 pep bands- 6 events will be graded during semester 1, and 2 event in semester 2.
Concert Reflections
Following each concert, students will complete a reflection based on their contribution to the performance. If a student does not attend a concert*, they will need to complete make-up work assigned by their teacher.
*If there is a conflict, we can be flexible with proper notice. Students should provide at least 2 weeks notice and a valid reason for missing the concert in order to be eligible to receive any credit towards a concert. Emergency absences (less than 2 weeks notice) will be handled on an individual basis.

** Reeds may be purchased by the box, not singly, before or after school.
