Middle School Classes

This is what we will be working on this year:

Grade 5: Students will read the book, Wonder by R.J. Palacio in the Fall. In January, we will start reading The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe. Each student will need a copy of these book. Students may have assigned readings in book or electronic format.

• Library class is part of ILA for our 5th graders. Any tests or assignments are part of the students' ILA grade. I will give the Google Classroom codes to in person students during class time.

Grade 6: Students will read, Number the Stars by Lois Lowry in the Fall. In January we will begin reading the book Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli. They should have a copy of each book..

Grade 7: Students will be learning life skills such has how to write a check, sew a button, public speaking, writing a thank you note, on-line safety, how to write a resume, and how to budget money.

Grade 8: Students will be having their Math Enrichment class during their usual library time. Teachers will be assigning the students Khan Academy for Math. If students complete their Khan Academy assignments, they can use this time to study or complete homework.
