Students can check out books each week. The lower grades may check out one book, grades 5 and up may take out two at a time. Books are checked out for a one week period.
Students will be allowed to take library books home this year.
If a child forgets their book at home, they may not check out another until the previous one is returned. If a book is lost please let me know. I will let you know the cost for replacement.
If I feel a book if too mature for a student based on their grade, I will email you to ask permission for your child to check out that title.
Students in the upper grades will be reading novels during library class. They may have either a hard copy of the book or they may have it on a device. If they choose to use a device it must be charged and ready to be used for class. Points are deducted from their ILA grade if they are not prepared.
