🌟 I received the 2023 Best Teacher Award for the MSc in Finance Program voted by students.
🌟 I received the UNIL Innovation in Teaching Grant for my Handbook on Using LLMs for Finance Applications. E-mail me at roxana.mihet@unil.ch for further materials, mentioning what you need them for.
🗣️ I co-organized with Pierre Collin-Dufresne the UNIL-EPFL Information Frictions Reading Group which met weekly during 2020-2022.
In general, I can supervise theses on the data economy and the impact and use of new technologies (such as AI) in economics and finance. For topics I am interested in, please take a look at my current research.
I supervise both empirical works and theoretical theses and require students to be familiar with a statistical software (e.g. STATA, R) or programming (Matlab, Python). Any knowledge of NLP or large language models is strongly encouraged too.
If you would like me to supervise your thesis, please send me an e-mail (roxana.mihet@unil.ch) with your CV, current transcript, your topic of interest, potential research question, and if possible the data and methodology you plan on using.
You can find specific guidelines and requirements on our University (HEC) Homepage.
