Distance Learning Need to Knows
Why is school like this?
Unfortunately, the number of people infected with Covid-19 continues to increase. And, as a school, one of our jobs is to keep you safe. We have worked really hard to come up with the best plan to keep you safe and to keep you learning. We know this is not how you were hoping school would be. We wish it would go back to normal, but we are excited you are here and we will do our best job to make this the best experience for you!

Attendance & Make-Up
Daily attendance to real-time sessions is mandatory and will be tracked by teachers and the district.
We know that technology and connectivity issues may keep students from attending class, but this should not be a regular occurrence. If you are having difficulty with the internet or devices, please contact your classroom teacher to help resolve these issues if they persist.
If you are sick, or if there is an emergency, please contact your classroom teacher. Similar to in-person instruction, it is helpful for your teacher to know when you are ill or unable to attend class. Absent notes will continue to be sent to the office staff to excuse absences.
Student engagement activities during the real time lessons may be graded.
Incomplete Work and Failing Grades:
When applicable, student tests and assignments that receive a score of 69% or lower can be resubmitted for a maximum score of 70%.
Not all classwork will be available for resubmission. Classwork resubmission (not tests) is at the teacher’s discretion.
Requests for resubmission must be immediate, and before answers are reviewed with the class.
Resubmissions must be made within one week of the assignment score being returned. Teachers are at liberty to make exceptions for holidays and school breaks.
Resubmissions will be corrections of previously submitted assignments or tests, not new or recreated assignments or tests.
