LESSON SCHEDULES: 2023-2024
Lessons for the 2023-2024 school year will begin after Labor Day.
You will be able to check this page, pick up a paper copy during rehearsal, check our OTUS class board or look outside the band/orchestra room to see when your lesson is scheduled. (Look on the locker bay outside your rehearsal room.)
Remember, our schedule is good for the entire quarter.
Lesson groupings - Band lessons are by instrument type and sometimes grade level. Orchestra groupings are found at the bottom of the schedule.
What's the difference between a lesson and a rehearsal?
Lessons are scheduled in like instrument groups with students demonstrating similar strengths.
Think of this as where students learn the "nuts and bolts" of their instrument.
Rehearsals are where we put all of the pieces together and become a band or orchestra!
Students are only scheduled to come out of a class one time per quarter. The only exception is ELA since it is a block and spans the duration of two regular class periods.
When do I have lessons and rehearsals?
Band and Orchestra students have rehearsals every Tuesday and Friday with Mrs. Delligatti. The rotating lesson schedule is published on Fridays and will be linked to this site. Band lessons are taught by Mrs. Delligatti on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Mr. Goltz teaches orchestra lessons on Wednesday and Thursday. Students are scheduled to miss each period of the day only once per quarter.
In the event a student is unable to attend a lesson (math test, science lab, test, quiz) they may attend either a scheduled make-up lesson or make arrangements with Mrs. Delligatti or Mr. Goltz to come to another session. We try to be very flexible to accommodate all students in our school. We value the whole student experience.
