How is the library organized?
How is the library organized?
The fiction books are "genrefied" meaning we have them together in groups based on several genres. They are then alphabetized by Author's last name within each genre grouping and each genre has its own color sticker.
Our nonfiction is also arranged by topic according to a modified Dewey Decimal System (modified in that we tried to keep similar topics with each other for easier browsing). See the topics and where to find them here.

Library Policies
Library Policies
The Norris HS library is open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm every school day.
Each student has their own unique barcode to check out materials. It is assigned to them alone. Students can checkout using their student ID card (same badge as used for lunch and the bus).
Students may check out two books at a time. The check out period is three weeks. If you finish a book before that time, please return it to the library or renew it. Headphones checkout for one day.
Students are responsible for all materials they check out and are expected to pay any and all fines for lost or damaged materials (which may include liquid or food damage or page damage due to a smashed book).
