*Please review high frequency words each night. Practicing these words each night will help with reading fluency and word recognition. Children should know these words simply by sight.

Unit 5 Week 3
Spelling Homework
A monthly spelling menu will be sent home with your child at the beginning of each month along with the new spelling words for each week.
Your child is required to play a game of tic-tac-toe each week to complete three spelling activities.
Any work that needs to be handed in, can be handed in each Friday to be checked.
A new spelling menu will be sent home at the beginning of each month.
Please encourage your child to be creative when writing and to always do their best!
*Sloppy work WILL NOT be accepted.
Students will be required to re-do their work if handed in sloppy.
Reading Homework
Children should be reading for 10-15 minutes a night. Any reading is acceptable and encouraged. Children will receive a decodable reader at the beginning of each reading unit. It is recommended that they read the weekly story in the reader at least twice to reinforce skills we are learning in class.
Math Homework
Math homelinks are sent home each night. These homework papers should be completed and returned to school the next day in your child's homework folder.
*If you child forgets his/her math homework, it can be printed through the Everyday Math website in my links page!
