Course Description:
This weight training course is designed to teach students 4 components of fitness. They include: cardiorespiratory endurance, body composition, flexibility, muscular strength and muscular endurance. A large portion of the class is dedicated to muscular strength and muscular endurance. In this class, students will participate in a variety of strength activities including: free weights, machine equipment, resistance bands, and body weight activities. Students will also develop power, balance, and agility through plyometrics, hurdles, and ladder exercises. In this course, students will determine strength goals, and create their own workout plan to help achieve these goals.
