About Mr. Neal

I am very happy to begin my seventh year in the Northern Lehigh School District! This will be my sixth year teaching 4th grade at Slatington Elementary and my 18th year in education. During my years of teaching I have spent time as an instructional assistant, high school and elementary learning support teacher, kindergarten teacher, fifth grade teacher, fourth grade teacher, third grade teacher, and reading specialist. I graduated from DeSales University in 2005 with dual certification in Elementary Education (K-6) and Special Education (N-12). In 2014 I completed my Master's Degree at Moravian University in Curriculum and Instruction and received my Reading Specialist Certification (PK-12). In 2022 I obtained my Health/Physical Education Certification (PK-12) from Eastern University.

Tennis is also a huge passion of mine. I played at the collegiate level for four years and then coached for 10 years at both DeSales University and Moravian University. I have also spent many years coaching at tennis clubs, camps, academies, and traveling throughout Europe coaching junior players. And, as the students will learn this year, I am a huge Elvis Presley fan! I look forward to having a terrific year here at Slatington Elementary!
