Here are 25 ways for students to study their spelling words!

Word Meanings- Write each spelling word. Then use a dictionary to find and write the meaning of each word.

Synonyms & Antonyms- Write each spelling word. For each spelling word, write a synonym and an antonym.

Rainbow Spelling- Write each spelling word. Trace over each spelling word with a different color.

Picture Spelling- Write your spelling words and draw a picture of each word.

Acrostic Spelling- Write each spelling word going down. Then write a word that starts with each letter of that spelling word. Each word should be related to the spelling word.

Alphabetical Order- Write all 20 spelling words in alphabetical order.

Sailboat Writing- Write your words in the shape of a sailboat or pyramid!

Spelling sentences- Write a sentence using each spelling word.

Word Story- Use as many of your spelling words to write a story. BE CREATIVE!!

Type your spelling words!- Type each spelling word 3 times in a different font.

Venn Diagram- Use a Venn diagram to organize your spelling words. Label it “2 Vowels or More” on the left, “2 Consonants or More” on the right, and “At Least 2 Vowels and 2 Consonants” in the middle.
