Military Resources

I am honored to be Winter Park Elementary School's Military Family Liaison.   I educate our staff on understanding the strengths and needs of these resilient families and also how to effectively help them.  We have 2 ambassadors in each classroom ready to greet new students and help them to learn about our school. Our ambassadors make all new students feel welcome, help new students to meet essential staff members, know our school's procedures, and ensure that new students do not feel alone!

We have different ways of honoring our military throughout the school year.  We highlight military-affiliated staff and students on our Broadcast, participate in letter writing for our Honor Flight veterans,  and celebrate Purple Up! day in April.  Purple Up day is our way of educating and showing our collaborative support of our military kids.
