About Mrs. Bishton

Hello! My name is Sarah Bishton. I am the choral and drama teacher at Trask Middle School. I love living in Wilmington with my sweet husband, Todd, and three boys Zachary, Thomas, and Jonathan! I am thrilled to be working here at Trask!

I received my bachelor’s degree in music education from Bowling Green State University in Ohio the spring of 2006. In the fall of 2006 I had the opportunity to teach at a charter school in Greensboro, NC. I taught kindergarten through eighth grade general music and sixth through eighth grade band. Once I earned my North Carolina teaching license I went back to Bowling Green, Ohio to earn my master's in music education. I was able to teach a high brass (trumpet and French horn) methods class for undergraduates who were studying to be future music teachers. I was also able to teach brass students from the local middle and high schools. After graduating in the spring of 2011 with my master's I was able to teach for four years at West Pender Middle School. There I taught chorus, band, Zumba, and piano. I have enjoyed teaching at Trask Middle School since the fall of 2015 and I look forward to more adventures as a Trask Bear!
