All County Chorus – 2026
Select students have been chosen to represent Trask Middle School in the 2026 New Hanover County All-County Chorus! This annual event brings together selected middle school singers from across the county for two days of rehearsals and a final performance.
IMPORTANT DATES:
Friday, October 16 — Rehearsal at Roland Grise. We will leave Trask around 8:30 AM and return around 1:30 PM.
Saturday, October 17 — Rehearsal & Concert at Minnie Evans. The concert begins at 2:00 PM. Students are expected to participate both Friday and Saturday. Please let Mrs. Bishton know ASAP if your student is unavailable for either date.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16 — ROLAND GRISE: Students will come to Trask and use their usual transportation to and from school. We will travel together to Roland Grise for rehearsal. Students should bring their music, pencil, reclosable water bottle, and optional snack. A school bagged lunch will be provided, or students may bring their own. Please tell Mrs. Bishton if your student does NOT want a school lunch. Students must follow NHCS dress code. Trask's regular no-phone policy will remain in effect during the trip. In an emergency, families should contact Trask Middle School.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17 — MINNIE EVANS: Students will meet at Minnie Evans Performing Arts Center between 9am-10am (to be announced) and must have their own transportation to rehearsal. Students should bring their music, pencil, reclosable water bottle, and a snack. The free All-County Chorus Concert begins at 2:00 PM, and families are encouraged to attend! Parents/guardians are responsible for transportation home following the concert. NHCS employees may not transport students in personal vehicles.
PERFORMANCE ATTIRE: Concert black dress clothes: Black shirt, black pants, and black shoes. Shirts must have sleeves; short sleeves are fine. No dresses, skirts, or see-through leggings. Please contact Mrs. Bishton by October 8 if your student needs help finding appropriate attire.
CHAPERONES NEEDED: We need parent chaperones for Friday and Saturday. Chaperones must have current Level II NHCS volunteer clearance, which lasts for three years. Apply at bib.com/securevolunteer/nhc/ and contact Mrs. Bishton if you are available to chaperone.
BEHAVIOR: Students are expected to be Respectful, Responsible, and Safe and to represent Trask well. If a student does not meet these expectations, a parent/guardian will be required to pick them up, and the student will not participate in the remainder of the event.
