ESL I, II, III classes, help, and goals

1st and 2nd semester:

ESL I, II and III are offered during 1st, 2nd,  and 3rd periods. 

My planning is 4th.

I am also available almost everyday during FLEX.

ACCESS testing will start in January 2026.

ESL students, we are here to help you. During remote learning please reach out to us for help in your classes. We are available during office hours every day! Please ask for help. We want to help you be successful.

Our goals in ESL are: (from DPI)

ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY STANDARDS

Standard 1: English language learners communicate for Social and Instructional purposes within the school setting.

Standard 2: English language learners communicate information, ideas and concepts necessary for academic success in the content area of Language Arts.

Standard 3: English language learners communicate information, ideas and concepts necessary for academic success in the content area of Mathematics.

Standard 4: English language learners communicate information, ideas and concepts necessary for academic success in the content area of Science.

Standard 5: English language learners communicate information, ideas and concepts necessary for academic success in the content area of Social Studies.

We also have individual listening, speaking, reading, writing and comprehension goals for each student.
