Assignment #8: Plan your summer vacation!

If you could do anything you want this summer, what would you do? Where would you go? Who would you visit? What would you see? Maybe you would travel to Disney World. Maybe you want to visit your Grandma. You might want to go fishing at your camp. Your options are endless. For this assignment, money isn’t an issue and there is no such thing as Covid-19! You can go anywhere and do anything!

You are going to create a presentation that tells me five different things you would like to do this summer. There will be a total of 6 slides (the first slide will be the title slide.) Use pictures from the internet or pictures that you have. You will need a short description on each slide. Have fun!

"All the Right Notes" Vocabulary

You can also have the vocabulary read to you. You will find it on the left side of the story towards the bottom.

Read/listen to the story. There are two different options to view/read the story. You can keep the screen as it is when you click on the story, or you can scroll down a little and on the left side there is a “Presentation View” with “Read the Article” right below it. If you click here, it will open a new tab, and the article will look just like the magazine. There are also two options to listen to the story. The first is under the article heading and says “Want to hear this story read aloud? Click here!” The other option is on the left side of your screen and says “Text-to-Speech.” This option will highlight each word as the story is read.
