iPads and Summertime

High Rock students who received an iPad from the Needham Public Schools may keep this iPad with them over the summer.  All families electronically signed the District’s iPad Acceptable Use Agreement last fall.  The following are a few reminders of iPad Use that students and families should review:

  • The Parent and Student agree to maintain any iPad owned by the NPS in good condition, reasonable wear and tear excepted.

  • The Parent/Guardian or the Student shall not leave the iPad in extreme heat or cold, e.g., in a car, in these conditions.

  • The Student shall leave the iPad in its protective case.

  • The Parent/Guardian and the Student shall not allow any iPad owned by the NPS to be removed from the Continental United States.

For a complete version of the iPad Use Agreement please go to the following link on the High Rock Family Resources webpage: http://bit.ly/1UjfDvj

If there are issues with your child’s iPad over the summer, please bring it to the attention of the Pollard Technology Integration Specialists in September.  Unfortunately there is no technology support over the summer for student iPads.

If you decide as a family that you do not wish to keep your child’s iPad over the summer, please contact the main office at High Rock School no later than, Friday, June 8.  Any iPad kept by the school over the summer will be returned to the student within the first week of school at Pollard Middle School.

We will collect the iPad, case and charger on Thursday, June 14 for families that have decided to keep their iPads at school for the summer or students who will not be attending Pollard next year for grade 7.

What should I do with my iPad over the summer and how do I prepare to move onto Pollard in the fall?
