About Enable ND

Enable ND is focused on using the skills taught in Notre Dame classes to further the University's mission in being a force for good in the world. With bio-design innovation at the center of our work, we are collaborating to create prosthetic and assistive technologies at a fraction of the cost of standard medical devices and gifting them for free. Enable ND was founded as a chapter of the e-NABLE network by Kelly Pacifico in 2017. A team of Notre Dame students formed to design, fabricate, and assemble a device for our first-ever user, Owen. Our group was recognized as an official Notre Dame-sanctioned club in the Spring of 2018. Since our inception, we have fit a dozen users with custom devices. Our club welcomes students of all majors who have an inclination to combat the medical device accessibility gap.

Donations to our club can be made on Student Shop ND. All donations are used to fund club expenditures and create opportunities for our members. Your donation may be used to help us invest in a new 3D printer, update our club space, or purchase supplies for a user's device!
