The day and time of the Irish Session at NCSU is changing. Starting the week of September 17-21, the session will meet on THURSDAYS, from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. The location won't change; we will still meet in the Craft Center on campus. This change is partly in response to the Irish Session at Kildare's Irish Pub in Chapel Hill, which started a year ago and also meets on Wednesdays, from 7pm onwards. Changing the NCSU session day will make it easier for musicians to attend both sessions without having to rush from Raleigh to Chapel Hill on a Wednesday. The change in the start time will allow anyone coming onto campus by car to park for free in the upper levels of Reynolds Coliseum Parking Deck next to the Craft Center. Parking on campus (except in pay lots) is free to anyone after 5pm.
This coming week, we will still meet on Wednesday, September 12th, 4:30-6:00pm. The following week, we will meet on Thursday, September 20th, 5:00-6:30pm.
