The Dean of Agriculture at the University of Georgia, Paul Chapman, wrote a book The Greenhand in the early 1930s. It was made into a movie some years later and shown in theaters all across the South. You can view the entire movie (1 hour 22 minutes) by clicking on this Dropbox link - https://www.dropbox.com/s/nrwwhjixe96ijw3/Greenhand.mp4?dl=0. The movie is about a "thug" who finds redemption through FFA and agricultural education. Of course there is a plot, conflict, a romantic interest, public speaking, an extended field trip, a deer hunt, plus more. A number of scenes reveal how FFA once was. Students and professors from Georgia were featured in the film; so the acting is not very professional. You should be aware there are a couple of scenes that not politically correct today and the first five minutes is corny.
