Naval Science Instructor

Master Sergeant Jason Scott, USMC (Ret)

 

Military Biography:  MSgt Scott enlisted in the Marine Corps in June 2000 and retired in August of 2022. He was last stationed at Manpower and Reserve Affairs, Headquarters Marine Corps, Marine Corps Base Quantico. His other duty stations include stops in South Carolina, Rhode Island, Ohio, Missouri, Japan, and California. His primary occupation was administration, but his background also includes, finance, public affairs, family readiness, and a tour as a Marine Corps Drill Instructor. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management from Columbia College.  MSgt Scott is from Kansas City, Missouri and is married to his wife of 22 years, Tera. They have four daughters aged 24, 21, 19, and 12. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, traveling, playing sports, and enjoying time with family friends.

Civilian Biography:

Taught TechED at Saunders Middle School for 2022-2023; Coached Boys Varsity/JV Basketball for 2 years; Fitness Coach for Boys Varsity Football for one year.

NJROTC Instructors are not employees of the Navy.  They are employees of the school where the JROTC unit is located.
