On 25th of September, our drill team and varsity colorguard competed at a drill meet at West Cartert. This competition covered unarmed platoon drill and varsity colorgaurd.
On our first day of our annual NS1 indoc, new cadets get a feel of what it is like to be apart of the Havelock High Iron Brirgade Regulators.
July 28th through August 1st; our cadet cadre prepare for our NS1 indoc. Our cadet staff members learn their positions and non-staff members cover drill.
On the 17th of May our Color-guard had the honor of presenting the colors at Cherry Point Baptist Church.
Everyone who went to our weekend long fundrasing event took a photo before watching the fie works!
Durning Service Corp Weekend the cadets + our chaparones slept in cabens! This was a great opportunity to get to know one another more!
At our anual military ball, we recongize our seniors with mini trophies. This is a way to remind them that they have made a large lasting impact on our program.
Duke Army ROTC Tour - February 27, 2025
Havelock NJROTC Unit toured Duke University ROTC and the campus. They also took us to a field lab to get to the experience!
Brain Brawl - February 14-15, 2025
Havelock NJROTC Academic Team participated in the 2025 Brain Brawl and placed 4th amongst 12 teams! We can't wait to see what you do in March at Qualifiers!

A yearly tradition that Havelock NJROTC is involved with is the Havelock Christmas Parade which marches a platoon. We love showing off for our community with our fancy drill and Santa hats!
Havelock hosted its first-ever Drone competition with pilots and a very interested audience.
Naval Science 1st Platoon was able to help the Senior Breakfast by assisting with a parking detail and any seniors who needed a hand.
What a great end to the season with the Havelock Football Team as season Champions and making it to the fourth round.

Veterans Day Breakfast - November 8, 2024
Havelock NJROTC supported our community veterans with a breakfast at Havelock High School. We are so proud of all our veterans, and we thank them for their service!
Our cadets got to participate in Army Day at Fort Liberty!
They got to experience many different simulations, hands-on activities, weapons, and MREs!
Camp Albermarle Obstacle Course
September 7th and 8th were busy days for the cadets cheering on the bike riders, which included our own AO1. These bikers raised over 1.2 million dollars for the cure of multiple sclerosis, and we are proud to be able to help support such a big fundraising event in our community.
August 12-16, 2024, we had all our upcoming NS1's come to our weeklong camp to find out what school is like as an NJROTC cadet! Learning the basics of drill, general orders, and who instructors and staff were will make all the difference in their success in the unit.
Summer for the Cadets 2024
Jordan Lake Camping - July 8-12, 2024
Camping on the beautiful shores of Jordan Lake was a first for many cadets! Swimming in the lake, going on the trails, visiting the local museums, and learning basic survival skills are what the cadets who went will remember for a lifetime!
Leadership Academy - June 24-29, 2024
A week at the Citadel for three outstanding cadets. This was a great opportunity for leadership growth! PT in the mornings, lessons in the afternoons, and drill in the evenings; their days were packed with great opportunities while learning about themselves and their unit.
Sailing Academy - June 18-20, 2024
Basic sailing and knot-tying information was passed on to the cadets at Sail Nauticus! They spent nights on the Battleship Wisconsin and had a morning run going around the local town and touring the mermaid statues.

Iron Brigade Regulators Dominate in the year’s first Drill Competition
On 9 September, HHS NJROTC Cadets Competed in this year’s first regional drill competition against West Carteret, Pamlico, and Camp Lejeune High School NJROTC Units. Our Cadets outperformed all units in the Armed Squad event earning 617 out of 690 possible points. Our 1st year cadets dominated the basic drill knock-out event by earning 3 out of 5 available medals.
Iron Brigade Regulators conduct campus clean up
On 10 September, HHS NJROTC Cadets conducted their monthly campus clean up removing over 40 pounds of trash and debris from all over the campus.
MS Bike Ride, 11 - 12 September
Twenty-two of our Iron Brigade Regulators volunteered to spend their weekend assisting the organizers of the 2021 MS Bike Ride in New Bern. Over 1,200 cyclists rode through craven county to raise awareness and money to combat MS. Our Cadets were a vital to every aspect of the execution of this event.
Homecoming Parade and Half-time show, 1 October
On 1 October, Iron Brigade Cadets led Havelock High School in the Homecoming Day Parade. The Parade meandered through the town of Havelock and served to motivate the students before the Homecoming Game. During the half-time show, our cadets performed a sword arch ceremony for the Homecoming queen nominees.
