Unlock your desk phone by inputting your pin number. The pin number should be the last four digits of your office phone number, or it should be four zero’s. Do not change or personalize your pin number from one of these two options.
Open your Voice mailbox by selecting and calling "Voicemail." You will be given a list of possible options to choose from, including Voicemail, email, calendar, personal contacts, or personal options. Say “Personal Options.”
You will need to use your telephone keypad to follow the next prompts. You can record greetings, change your pin, change your timezone, etc. through this menu.
Your phone will prompt you through options, including recording a new voicemail message, listening to your current voicemail message, recording your name, and more
Follow the prompts to record a new voicemail message or new "Away" message
To troubleshoot: You may contact Cassie.Luke@nau.edu to confirm that your office phone is correctly assigned to you. If Cassie confirms it is, you may submit a ticket with ITS (928-523-1511 or https://nau.service-now.com).
ITS reports that the phone are like PC's in that they sometimes need to a factory reboot to clear out bad data, which keeps them from working correctly.
1. Unplug the power source from your Polycom. This will be the smaller round plug that goes into the port labeled 24V.
2. Hold the * and # keys on the dialing pad of the Polycom while plugging it back in.
3. After a few seconds the device should prompt you to confirm the reset.
4. Once you have chosen to continue and pressing Yes the device will reset and then return you the beginning of the setup process.
1. Unplug the power from the back of the phone and wait about 10 seconds.
2. Plug in the power cord. A message displays stating "Initializing… Please Wait". This takes about 1 minute.
3. Hold the OK button down when the phone starts to sign in. If it starts to sign in anyway press Cancel then hold the OK button down again.
4. A message displays asking if you want to do a factory reset. Select Yes.
5. After the phone resets select PIN Authentication from the sign in menu.
6. Enter your 5 digit telephone extension, then press the "Sign In" button.
7. Enter your 4 digit Extension PIN, then press the "Sign In" button.
8. After the phone connects to the network, enter a new lock PIN for the phone (this PIN is not the same as your Extension PIN) and press the "Next" button. The lock PIN can be any number you like. Confirm your lock PIN and then press the "Save" button.

From the “Home” page of your phone, click the list button (in the center, between the two dots for selecting “Select” or “Close”
Scroll to “Call Forwarding” using the up and down arrows on the right side of your phone
Select “Call Forwarding” by pushing the circular button between the arrows
The options are
Do not forward calls
Forward to Voicemail
Forward to a contact or any phone number
Simultaneously ring a phone number
Choose the option that fits your needs, and follow the prompts
Our department does not generally recommend that you forward the phone to your personal cell phone.
