In order to be considered for the cast of Romeo & Juliet, students need to perform a 1-minute monologue for the directors on Monday, January 26th in the Mini Theater.
Before auditioning, the directors would recommend reading the play and looking over the list of characters in the show. Also, please be sure to review the page, "How We Cast a Show," for more information about the casting process.

Monologue auditions will be held in-person on Monday, January 26th from 2:45 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. in the Mini Theatre.
For these auditions, please prepare a one-minute monologue from a play or musical. We strongly encourage selecting a dramatic monologue from a work by William Shakespeare; however, you are welcome to choose any piece that you feel best showcases your unique strengths and talents to the directing team.
During your audition for the directors, you will perform your 1-minute monologue. At the beginning of your audition, we ask that you slate with the following information:
Name
Grade
Titles of the piece you are performing
Name of the character you are portraying
This year, the monologue auditions are open call, which means that you do not need to sign up for an audition time.
On January 26th, please plan to arrive at the Mini Theater by 2:45 p.m. When you arrive, you will sign in with the stage managers. If you need to leave early, let the stage managers know, and they will ensure that you are one of the first people to audition. Once you have finished performing your monologue, you are free to leave.
Remember, on the day of your monologue audition, fill out the audition form with all of the requisite information.
Callbacks for Romeo & Juliet will be held on Tuesday, January 27th from 2:45 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. in the Mini Theater.

When choosing a monologue, the directors recommend selecting one that showcases your natural talents, features a character that is relatively close in age to your own, and is something that you enjoy.

Please complete and submit the audition form by the time of your audition on Monday, January 26th.
Performers must bring their signed forms - Parent / Student Participation Agreement, Parent / Guardian and Student Expectations Sheet - to their audition or email them to Mr. Lemberg at lemberg.1@napls.us.
If a student does not turn in ALL REQUIRED auditions forms by the time of their audition, they will not be permitted to complete the audition process.
