Football Cheerleader vs. Basketball Cheerleader
FOOTBALL
Football cheerleading practices begin in early August and run through early October
Football cheerleaders can not participate in other fall sports (volleyball, cross country, tennis)
Football cheerleaders cheer outside in all types of weather (warm, cold and rainy)
Football cheerleaders cheer at Home as well as Away games during the season
There are 10 cheerleaders per squad
BASKETBALL
Basketball cheerleading practices tentatively begin in November and run through the end of January
Basketball cheerleaders can not participate in other winter sports (basketball, swimming)
Basketball cheerleaders cheer inside at all games
Basketball cheerleaders cheer at ONLY HOME games during the season
There are 8 cheerleaders per squad
