Basketball Cheerleading Season Information and Upcoming Dates

Winter Sports Meeting- Justin Greiger the Middle School Athletic director would like to have an all winter sports parent meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 21st at 7:00pm in the MS Cafeteria. There will be a general information session for all parents and athletes.

Season Practices-We will practice on the following days throughout the season in the Middle School gym from 2:45-4:00 pm.

-Mondays-7^th grade cheerleaders ONLY

-Tuesdays-7^th and 8^th grade cheerleaders

-Wednesdays-8^th grade cheerleaders ONLY

(special note: November 3^rd and 4^th will be both 7^th and 8^th grade squads together with no practice on Wednesday)

Games-Please see the attached schedule. Basketball cheerleaders only cheer at HOME games. Our games are on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If we have a Tuesday game there will be no practice for that day. Cheerleaders will need to be in the gym ready to stretch at 4:00 pm for 5:00 pm games and 4:30 pm for 5:30 pm games.

· Spiritwear Orders-New Albany Cheerleading on-line team shop for ordering will be emailed out soon! ALL CHEERLEADERS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE WARM UPS, A WHITE BODYLINER, MAROON BRIEFS, WHITE ANKLE SOCKS, AND WHITE CHEER SHOES-We will also order our season bows in November.

· Winter Break/Holidays-We will not be having practices over winter break or any holiday in which school is not in session. If school is closed due to weather, practice will be cancelled.

· Parent Liaisons and Snacks-We are in need of one parent liaison per squad that would be willing to organize a game day snack schedule and any parent volunteer assignments-please let me know if you are interested!
