Spanish 3 (1730) 1 credit, First half of Spanish 3
Prerequisite: Completion of Spanish 2 with a recommended grade of C or better
Students in Spanish 3 will communicate in Spanish by refining and expanding vocabulary on familiar topics through conversation, composition, and short stories. Students will express ideas, opinions and experiences through writing and speaking. Students will be evaluated on classroom participation, written and oral work, tests, and quizzes.
If you did not earn a C- or better in your Spanish 2 classes, please see me ASAP.
- Students will continue building skills in the Spanish language in the four language acquisition areas: reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
- Students will expand their awareness of Spanish around us.
- Students will build on vocabulary and grammar concepts learned in Spanish 2.
- Student will continue to master present tense verbs (regular and irregular, stem-changing, reflexives); master present progressive, immediate future, and regular preterit tenses; master asking and answering questions, infinitives, adverbs, adjective agreement, articles and various other grammar and vocabulary concepts.
- Students will practice, practice, practice in the 4 language acquisition areas.
