Essential Question: How do humans depend on Earth’s Resources?
How and Why do humans interact with their environment, and what are the effects of the interactions?
Humans have always used a variety of Earth's resources. From early forms of mankind, we used water and animals as food. And now we used different forms of energy and minerals for shelter, food, and entertainment.
In this chapter we also discussed the impacts that humans are causing on the environment. Many animals have been nearly or fully wiped out due to hunting. Also, temperatures are rising due to increased emissions of carbon-dioxide and methane. These increase in temperatures will cause mass amounts of drought and famine unless humans sharply decrease the amount of harmful emissions.
As a group project, three students and I researched the effects of global warming. We spent about a week on this project which consisted of research and recording a video.
I liked everything in this chapter from watching the climate change documentary to doing a fun group project.
