Muslim Summer Camp 2014

The National Capital Area Council’s Islamic Committee on Scouting and Del-Mar-Va Council’s Camp Rodney invite interested Troops and provisional Scouts to register for the 2014 Muslim Summer Camp Week, August 3rd through August 9th, 2014. This post-Ramadan and post-Eid summer camp will allow interested Muslim Troops and Scouts from other Troops to fully observe Ramadan before coming to camp. Halal meals will be provided to all Troops and provisional Scouts who notify the Muslim Summer Camp week coordinator of their registration. For Scouts who will not be registering with their own Troops, the Islamic Center of Northern Virginia’s Troop 114 will host provisional Scouts. After completing registration through Camp Rodney’s webpage, Troops and provisional Scouts should please fill out this survey form to ensure halal meals and proper provisional placements.Information about troop registration and other information for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters, as well as detailed information for campers and parents, can be found in Camp Rodney’s Leaders Guide. Normal Camp Rodney fees will apply. See: Camp Rodney’s Fee Schedule. There are no additional fees for participating in Muslim Summer Camp Week activities. Fees paid in full before May 1, 2014 provide discounted rates. Early registration is highly encouraged. Dining hall and heater stack meal options are available.
