Research Interests
Projected future natural hazards and projected future building codes for climate change adaptation;
Physics-based modeling of natural hazards (e.g., tornadoes, hurricanes with storm surge, flooding and winter storm) and their interactions with built environment;
Fragility/vulnerability analysis of buildings under future climate;
Risk assessment of a region to natural hazards;
Hazard mitigation and community resilience by conducting interdisciplinary research between Engineering, Social Science, Psychology, Economics and Finance;
Overcoming barriers in transferring science and engineering into climate actions.
