Greetings and best wishes  from IMTM!

We are delighted to announce the upcoming fourth edition of the Sustainable Tourism Forum, scheduled to be held on 11th and 12th December 2023, in the Greater Male' Area.  This year's forum promises to be an exceptional platform for dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge sharing on sustainable tourism practices, playing a crucial role in shaping a more environmentally responsible and sustainable future for the tourism industry. The theme for this year's forum is “Green Investments and Innovations for Responsible Tourism: Paving Path for a Greener Future.”

The Sustainable Tourism Forum serves as a vital platform for industry stakeholders to discuss social, economic, and environmental sustainability. STF 2023 aims to facilitate dialogue and the sharing of ideas, with a focus on a more responsible and eco-friendly future in tourism. Additionally, it seeks to establish criteria for sustainable tourism in the Maldives.

The design of STF 2023 emphasizes the creation of connections among various aspects of the Maldivian tourism industry, bridging the gap between local and international stakeholders, government bodies, independent institutions, and scientific and academic entities. It plays a crucial role in setting industry standards and generating knowledge-based resources that contribute to a global understanding of sustainable tourism.

IMTM invites all stakeholders in the tourism industry to be a part of STF, fostering innovation and collaboration for sustainable tourism. Join the dialogue among key players, international partners, the government, and local communities to collectively work toward making the Maldives a sustainable tourism destination. We kindly request participation of five representatives from your university.

Starting Term 1 2023, MNU will be collecting student feedback on the Subject and Teaching and Evaluation (STE) survey every term via the Self-Service portal. 

Students are required to complete this survey each term for all the subjects that they have registered in. 

For Term 1 2023, this survey will be active from 6th June 2023.

RE: Asian Youth Leaders Elite Program (Singapore/Malaysia)

The application for Asian Youth Leaders Elite Program 2023 (Summer) is now open.

Asian Youth Leaders Elite Program (AYLEP) is a window for youth to explore the world, a bridge for youth to connect with each other, a platform for youth to gain fulfilling and amazing experiences from Asia to worldwide. AYLEP has benefited 21682 participants from 85 countries in the past 15 years.

Maximum 3 students from each institution will be accepted. And scholarships will be provided to those outstanding students.

"Any interested individuals to be on PSM Rahathafaathu cooking show 2023 please send your contact details with the recipe. Right now we have 5 available slots for the show. The show will be recorded at TVM studio and this is not a live program. The duration will be 10 - 15 minutes. We plan to shoot these episodes from the 13th to 20th of April.  

The recipe is to be decided by the chef. The cost of the ingredients for each dish will be reimbursed once the receipts are provided.

The goal of this trip is to explore and experience the hospitality and tourism-related aspects taught in FHTS courses, as well as to provide students with an opportunity to see how the industry operates in internationally famous hospitality destinations, giving students maximum exposure to enhance their learning experience.
