1st Quarter Project Options

1st Quarter Project Pictures to Print- Please read requirements on first slide!

Students should work on completing at least 3 projects per quarter. Remember, I take a daily work grade! (10 pts per day)

Free Choice

Create a piece of artwork of your own choosing. This project should show a high level of creativity and craftsmanship.

2nd Quarter Project Options

Students can also choose any project(s)from 1st Quarter that has not previously been completed (Except Free Choice.)

Projector Portrait

Students take a photo of someone infront of my projector. Students should pick an interesting photo to layer on top of the portrait.

Students can use media of choice for color, although oil pastel is used in the examples above.

Students will crop off atleast 1/3 of the face for an interesting composition.

Norman Rockwell

Object Drawing

Students create an entire drawing using only objects to create another subject.

Students may use media of choice.

Drawing Done from an Unusual View or Angle

Students must take their OWN reference photo for this project.

Think "Birds eye View or Worms eye View" when taking the photo.

Free Choice

Create a piece of artwork of your own choosing. This project should show a high level of creativity and craftsmanship.

Recreate your favorite Edward Hopper Artwork using a media of your choice.

Artist Inspiration

Recreate a piece of artwork inspired by a current artist.

You don't need to make a copy of a piece of artwork, but use an artist as inspiration.

4th Quarter Project Options

Student can also choose any project(s) from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Quarter that has not previously been completed (Except Free Choice.)

The FINAL EXAM will be one of the 3 projects made during 4th Quarter. For extra credit, you can make a digital art tutorial explaining the process you used to create the artwork.
