Roy Lichtenstein Portrait

Background should be considered when planning out the project. You may want to include thought bubbles.

Research

Students should do a google image search of Roy Lichtenstein artwork to get an idea of what his style is. How can you put your own spin on one of his pieces of art.?

1. What kinds of colors does he mostly use?

2. What are some key aspects of his style?

Media- I would suggest acrylic paint or marker. Looking at the image on the left, you want something that will give you flat color.

Students are required to use their OWN reference photo and recreate it using the style of Roy Lichtenstein.

I can help turn photos into line drawings to help with the process.
