As students move into summer it is important for them to maintain the math skills they have worked so hard learning and developing. If you would like to have your child practice their math skills throughout the summer, locate the appropriate Summer Math Packet below and print the pages you would like. Any work done over the summer is optional and does not need to be returned to school.
Students should also have opportunities to reinforce their math skills through the following activities:
practicing basic math facts
using mental math
applying math to everyday activities that involve money, time, measurement, geometry, and probability
solving problems by exploring solutions and using various strategies
using math vocabulary, writing about math, using pictures to arrive at an answer, and listening to others' ways of thinking
