In this fast-paced drawing course students engaged in a variety of short and sustained studies intended to develop a wide range of drawing skills. Different techniques were presented and explored using a variety of drawing media, including pencil, charcoal, color pastels and Sumi ink. Students created drawings from observation as well as from their imagination. Students engaged in self reflection and group critiques, and learned about master and contemporary artists working in similar ways.
Hi everyone, my name is Geraldine Butler and I am a painter. I attended the Baltimore School for the Arts where I now teach painting, and also graduated from MICA with a degree in Painting!
