The MDES PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization) is a non-profit organization offering an invaluable link between students, school staff, teachers and families. PTO membership includes parents/guardians of MDES students and staff of MDES – YOU are automatically members with no dues.
We have three primary goals 1) Raise funds for teacher and student enrichment, 2) Provide a volunteer support network, and 3) Promote open communication between parents, teachers, and administrators.
We believe by fostering good working relationships between home and school through active parent involvement we enrich the learning experience and support social and character development for MDES students.
The PTO supports MDES by giving the “extra” resources that make our school so great. Recent PTO purchases have included, a new playground, new gym mats, Educational Magazines for Grades K-1, Agendas for Grades 2-5, Artist in Residence Programs, teacher allowances, field trip fees, and much more!
All MDES parents/guardians and staff are welcome to attend.
We discuss the budget, as well as current PTO events.
