College/Career Research and Development (CCRD) is a 2-year program of study that empowers students to create a vision of the future through high quality academic, technical, and workplace skills necessary to pursue education and employment in a career field of their interest. The CCRD program of study satisfies the career development graduation requirement upon the completion of the 3-course sequence. Students who complete the program will master the high school Core Learning Goals (Learning, Thinking, Communication, Technology, and Interpersonal) as stated in the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Maryland School performance Programs Skills for Success.
In order to complete the program and meet the OPTION 3 career development graduation requirement, a student MUST complete all of the following courses:
8092/8093 College Career A/B (CCRD 1)
8065/8066 Career Seminar A/B
5441/5442 Site-Based Work Experience (Double-Period) A/B
