Choral Showcase Parent Letter 2024 - Thursday, March 7, 2024 @ 6:30pm

The Annual Music In Our Schools Month Choral Showcase will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 6:30pm. The concert will be at Marion High School in the Red Gym. All choir members are expected to be there at 6:15pm and should dress up for the performance. This is a required performance for all VMS choir students. The program will include performances by elementary, middle school and high school students and will conclude with "Top of the World," sung by all MISD choir students in grades 2-12. I am expecting this concert to last approximately one hour so please plan accordingly. Admission for the performance is $3 for adults and $2 for students, with a $10 maximum per immediate family. Marion activity passes will also be accepted. Performers do not need to pay. The money collected will be divided equally between the schools to help support our music programs.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

On Thursday, March 7, 2024, all 230 VMS choir students will be going to the high school from 11:45-1:15 to rehearse with the elementary and high school students in preparation for our concert that evening. I am in need of at least 2 parents for each grade to ride the bus and help out with the rehearsal that day. Parent volunteers will need to ride the bus from Vernon to the high school at 11:45, help students get seated at the high school, help monitor and remind students to be quiet while others are practicing, and ride the bus back to Vernon at 1:10.
